The seat of Barry County in southwest Missouri, the City of Cassville offers a richness of recreational opportunities. Cassville sits on the front porch of Roaring River State Park, the State’s most popular, and is nearby to the State’s second largest lake, Table Rock Lake. These State treasures encourage a steady stream of visitors to the Cassville area.

Downtown Cassville has a rich history. Its Main Street was once dubbed the “Old Wire Road,” which followed the first telegraph line in 1859. Both Confederate and Union troops used the line during the Civil War.

A recently minted Main Street Community, the City of Cassville hopes to leverage its considerable community assets through the DREAM Initiative to encourage economic activity and several physical development and redevelopment projects in Downtown Cassville.
