Ozark enjoys a small-town feel while providing big-city amenities. The Springfield Metro Area, including Ozark, received high marks from BizJournals’ “Best Quality of Life” ranking. The highest scores went to well-rounded places with healthy economies, light traffic, moderate costs of living, impressive housing stocks and strong educational systems.

Situated along the Finley River, Ozark was recently awarded a grant from the Missouri Foundation of Health to enhance the pedestrian pathways, support trail and bike systems and promote healthy lifestyles. In addition, Ozark was nominated as the best place to go antiquing in southwest Missouri by Rural Magazine.

Ozark was named a DREAM community in fall of 2010. Through the DREAM Initiative, the city of Ozark hopes to encourage developers, investors and future tenants to commit to Ozark’s historic Downtown and central business district as well as their surrounding neighborhoods.
