The Downtown Visitor Experience

“The Downtown Visitor Experience seminar held in November of 2013 was designed to help Downtown leaders understand the visitors that are patronizing their businesses and using their Downtown amenities.  Sessions included discussions on topics such as wayfinding, parking, underutilized buildings, incentive practices, and event promotions (provided by the Missouri Division of Tourism).  Attendees also heard a presentation of the Better Block Program in Ferguson, MO and a panel of small business owners from Macon, MO, along with sessions regarding the State Legislature, the Missouri Linked Deposit program from the State Treasurer’s Office, and Missouri Works from the Department of Economic Development”.
